Job Description
An urgent requirement has opened with a Software House specialising in Manufacturing with a reputation for world class customer service.
This is a key role in creating full-stack applications largely focused on automation. You will be Interfacing within a team and the wider business and this role requires a well-rounded developer with a range of software engineering and interpersonal skills.
About the role:
- Communicate effectively to the Product Change and Underwriting teams regarding specifications, scheduling and bottlenecks
- GitHub/Azure Dev ops utilisation for software repositories and issue tracking
- Support the Product Change team by maintaining existing tools whilst utilising critical thinking skills, multi-faceted problem-solving and systems thinking
- Perform peer reviews of code changes ensuring adherence to application design
- Responsible for post-live testing and timely defect resolution
- Work independently and have ability to take-charge to ensure ongoing tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Participates in business continuity planning and implementation
About you:
- Practical knowledge in C#
- Strong foundation in WPF, MVC and Web APIs
- Ability to use Git software and GitHub
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, INDEX, MATCH etc.
- Excellent logic and reasoning skills
- Proven stakeholder management and experience of interaction with change owners, project managers and business analysts to understand business led strategy
